it actually makes most weapons useful. you don't need to shoot half your pistol mag at enemy to kill them, and the other pistols are actually competitive with the g18.

bolt action snipers are one-shot kill to the chest and head, but they suffer from damage degradation very quickly. semi-auto snipers need 2-4 shots to kill.

I used the .44 Magnum on hardcore, and it was garbage there too. It's supposed to be a one-hit kill anywhere on the body within 10 metres. Yet, it leaves people with like 0.0001% HP or something.
