2142 was essentially a "reskin" of BF2, with the addition of new vehicles, equipment, weapons, and equipment; i.e. what fredulus was saying. That doesn't mean it wasn't something "new".

I have some terrible news, i just got my Game Informer magazine today, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 i mean 3 (sorry can't tell the difference) was named best shooter of 2011

i have no clue how a recycled mw2 could beat Battlefield 3...oh well

It's game informer.  Expect things like that.  also, best shooter award 2011 isn't a good category, all brown modern military shooters.

Fly low on Caspian Border, and strafe any infantryman out in the open. Or just baserape any jet trying to take-off.

i'd say that it played very different due to all the new gadgets, ie the cloaking generator for recon. also dat titan mode.

it was also a helluva lot more balanced than bf2 (and p much every other battlefield game except maybe bf3), as all classes had an actual point.
