i'd say that it played very different due to all the new gadgets, ie the cloaking generator for recon. also dat titan mode.

it was also a helluva lot more balanced than bf2 (and p much every other battlefield game except maybe bf3), as all classes had an actual point.

My post was directed at sabbin saying "reskin = cod" in reply to Fredulus. Really though, what fredulus said was correct. 2142 was a reskin of BF2. With new equipment, vehicles, and gamemodes that made a relatively new experience. You don't need to start from scratch to make something fresh.

i'm trying to level up my jet to get guided missiles or rocket pods, any tips (or videos) on flying real well, i'm decent already but i'm not exactly great

Stay a fair bit back and look for jets that are just as confused as you. Try to sneak up behind them, and follow them a decent amount. Wait until you can a good shot, and fire your autocannon in short bursts, unless you're sure you can land 90% of the shots.
If the other enemy jet gets behind you, forget about it unless you're sure you can take out the one you are targetting. Then do whatever you can to dodge.

Once you get heatseekers, lock on to enemy jets (duh), and follow until you can get really close. Launch 1 missle, and let it hit, then they will most likely deploy flares. Lock on again, disable the jet by shooting missle 2. Then finish him off with the autocannon. As long as 1 bullet hits every now and then, it'll prevent the jet from auto-repairing if it will. Helicopters, just rape with the autocannon. Once you can get a good solid aim on them they're forgeted. If you can only hit them with heatseekers, just wait until you get close, then set them off. 1 should hit, and if you can turn around quick enough, they should be reloaded, and the smoke from the heli will make it easier to see.

Once you get rocketpods, make sure you have good aim.

^ I played bf2 with bots, and even though they might suck at using normal weapons, they own at jets. They would just swoop around me every time I got on their tail. But I got decent at air warfare I guess.

I only play with bots. I just don't like multiplayer.
And am I the only one who doesn't like 2142?

Fly low on Caspian Border, and strafe any infantryman out in the open. Or just baserape any jet trying to take-off.

i find it rather difficult you kill ground forces with a jet, although i do my best to tear up tanks, i do try to destroy jets before they take off since they are my only threat (and light poles). Did you know that jets are immune to trees?

also i got my engineer service star :D, i find that the m4a1 and the aks-74u are both great weapons i just don't know what one i like more...

Take the AKS-74U since it looks cooler and is less overused like the M4A1

Don't even bother remaking the damn game if you're gonna leave Titan out.

Also I bet the vehicles are gonna be all "balanced" now because boo hoo it's not fair for one team to get a sleek and maneuverable hovertank and the other to get a slow as stuff crawler.

People complaining about the Havoc turning slow need to learn how to buy a controller/play on a console and use BOTH sticks to turn.

The AKS-74 sucks real bad. I don't know why it does, but it's just a terrible carbine.

You cannot just call it bad and have no idea why it is like that.
I will have to try the AKS-74U again
However the AK 74M is badass.
I'm using it with no attachments and with the M320 smoke or M320 buckshot.
