I got the AS VAL, I like it except low ammo

getting a tank shell to hit a jet is so satisfying.

For some reason despite this fact that I could never get any kind of accuracy out of my DMRS, they decided that the way to fix this (Rather than making them more accurate?) decided to make them do more damage, because apparently they needed more damage, which they did not.
they did, their long-range support capabilities were complete stuff without the damage increase. Also, they are extremely accurate if you can compensate for the gravity and understand the recoil patterns-- I literally just went counter-sniping squads of SRR-61s and gunners with my Mk11 and <50% of my kills were headshots at over 200 meters, no heavy barrel required

DMRs may be useless to you and many others, but people like me and Cynic make them look OP

Then you're getting significantly more lucky with them then I am. I can't understand how my performance with the M40A5 and the Gol Magnum; would be so high as far as actually hitting the things I'm trying to hit, whereas weapons, even at very close ranges (Op Locker For Example) the DMRS refuse to work properly against any target, I've been in games where I'm mid reload with my FAMAS and 3 folks with DMRS jump out and manage to miss every single shot on me at like, very close range. I find it impossible to believe that I'm just an epic dodger.

Every single DMR except maybe the Ace variant (Which manages to work more often than the others, but is still trash) and the SKS (Works consistently, but has a little too low DPS) function poorly and in general you'd be better off using a normal assault rifle on semi-automatic or burst.

Anyone who is effective with DMRS would be better off using the AR160 and switching to semiautomatic for long range engagements; you'll hit your mark more for sure.

1. Consistent high performance with DMRs since the beta =/= luck

2. I use the AR-160 a lot now and love it, but it's still not as lethal as a marksman rifle at long range and most mid-range engagements

They don't suck, they require a different type of play style to use them-- one that you appear to be incapable of acquiring

that would be funny if it won a game somehow

did the megalodon easter egg on a PUBLIC server

on nansha strike at the morse door, if you listen there are whispers
"Stay away"
"Leave this place"
but the last is hard to understand
"Leave me alone..."

Yes it is lol. Nobody just does good with them unless they happen to be on the right side of the luck mobile; srsly you should consider buying a lotto ticket, and if you win, then everyone wins.

Then you must not be using it correctly because even if the damage falloff occurs from longer ranges, then that implies that the person at that range has the same damage falloff as you would, so its still just as effective.

No, pretty much everyone I talk to says they suck, even my sniper friends. You're just a rare variety of box cutter that can somehow tolerate the ineffectiveness with raw luck. I absolutely refuse to believe that a DMR is a feasible weapon when 9 times out of 10 it misses its target completely when it has no business doing so; I'm not even talking about long ranges here, these things fail at 20 meters.
My playstyle mister Zloff, is to be a Jack of all trades. I do not focus one thing or another, I play with every weapon/vehicle/tactic until I master them, and move onto the next. That's what I usually do with every FPS, but I've decided to ignore the DMRS since they are sketchy effective, I figure the SKS is a satisfactory enough endeavor. If there's some mighty secret you're aware of for doing well with DMRS that isn't just to aim carefully and be patient (a strategy which works well with every OTHER weapon) do let us in on it, because I'd love to finish the game with my stats reading 500 kills with everything, literally everything, but at this point I'm not seeing it happening with DMRS.

I suppose with the damage buff that accuracy doesn't make much of a difference, if you get lucky and get 2-3 shots out of 20 to hit, you're golden.

Also for the random door with the whispers, try blinking a flashlight attachment at it.

if you sneak past the camera at Nashna Strike, the phantom says good job

I'm guessing the main reason you suck ass with DMRs is because you're one of those try-hards who sprays with them and can't adjust for movement/gravity quickly at longer ranges. You also make it sound like the only tactic you could possibly use them successfully with is camping, which is wrong; most of my kills with them are within 20-100m, and using them in those ranges is how I find my way to the top of the leaderboards every round I use them. I've always been amazing with semi-automatics in video games, so it's no surprise I love the DMRs in BF4. Can't believe you use 'luck' as my reason for being good lol, quit being such a sore loser and swallow your pride, there is no secret and you're terrible at using them

don't tell me DMR's are a luck weapon.  I agree with you a lot but it's not true.  They're skilled weapons but once you master the playstyle, they absolutely dominate.

if you can adjust to the recoil patterns and understand the different accuracy compared to something like sniper rifles, then you'd do a lot better with them.

2.6k kills isn't luck

I have Bad Company 1 and 2 for ps3. Does anyone still play those?
