Do you want a power system like on argo
I will see about doing that. Once the computer core is built in the saucer, I will probably start adding event scripts into it for stuff. But, due to the ships own massive size, eventing some things might use up all the schedules, but that should hopefully not be a concern.

I can't even begin to express how grateful and happy I am for the contributions everyone has made to the ship, including myself. When I look back at when this entire project was started, and from when I joined it, I can clearly see that we have come a long way and made tons of progress.

I am especially proud to have been able to help fix the critical build errors that were made sometimes, and being able to show Captain C ways to do things he never thought of before. So, I thought it only fair that I show everyone how much progress we have really made, especially on the major fixes I and several others have made on this project over the last several months.

Here is a compilation of the progress we have made since September:

Shuttlebay

Before

After

Engineering

Warp Core

Shuttlebay Junction Room

Turbolifts

Corridors

And to top it all off, the massive efforts to "de-spam" the entire build have been extremely fruitful. The hull has been completely rebuilt as has the entire interior. Here is a comparison of the brickcount back in September compared to now:

The progress is quite substantial.

Also did you keep my ship?

Yeah, it's saved.

Awesome, I saved to but then I just won't have to load it when I go on your server.

Wow. This is turning out really well.
I would model a phaser but nobody would script it.
And a tricorder would be useless so I wouldn't do that.

We have already modeled the phasers months ago and we are still waiting for someone to script it.

Everyone, we have apparently had a security breach.

Some stupid kid called "(da_guy)" is going around hosting a stuffty Space RP with a stolen copy of the Enterprise.

He was at the project server the other day and kept acting like a moron and demanding that I tell him the colorset being used, which was the first indication that he was trying to steal the build. Janeway saw him saving, after which I questioned him, and after a fast statement of denial, he left the server. The next day, while I was in school, he was apparently hosting with the stolen copy of the build. One of my frequent servergoers joined his server to try to get evidence of it but was banned by guy for no reason before he could even spawn.

"Da Guy" is now permanently banned from the server and will never be able to steal another piece of our work again.

Be advised if you see him, Captain C. He changes his name often, so I recommend banning him by his BL_ID, which is provided in the above link on the second paragraph. He appears to also be the same person from back in November who was hosting servers with a stolen save of my Daedalus class cruiser.

I knew I should have banned him. Sometimes you have to listen to me Plant.

He never appears to be on when I am online. I think he must live in the UK or something, judging by his activity times.

I am attempting to install some experimental lighting in the ship. The lighting will be ambient so there is no flare emitter from its brick. I decided to use the red cieling crossbars seen here:

The white bands on them are where the lights will be located.

We have not had lighting before for two reasons: one, the structural design of the ship's interior has only 2 plates of thickness between decks (meaning we simply do not have the space or the convenience of installing lights directly into the ceiling), and two, the ship is simply far too massive for conventional lighting to work properly, as it would max out the schedule limit and jam up other events such as relays in the ship.

When I say "conventional lighting", I am referring to the popular lighting methods often used by spacebuilders such as myself today. It consists of three plate layers stacked on top of each other, in the below pattern.

A
BBB
CCC

"A" represents the brick that provides the light source, and is usually the only one of its kind for the single light unit. It supports the entire lighting unit as well. "B" represents the "Light panels", upside-down print plates that have no print and have the glow fx. It gives the light a more realistic feel and makes it look cooler. And to top it all off, there's "C", the decorative layer. It can consist of a frame of glass for a stylish safe look, a special wedge plate frame for light units that look curved, or even nothing at all.

Like I mentioned before, the floor/ceiling thickness is only 2 plates thick, which is not enough for incorporation of conventional lights therefore. It would require at least 5 plates of thickness for conventional lights to work.

You get your server to work yet? I want to check out this lighting so I can use it.

Using glow FX on bricks can give a nice illusion of lighting, if used correctly.

Depending on how big the space is.

Damn, I wish I could have helped. Well done
