I love The undercity and rivet city is cool at first, but the novelty of the city being an airplane carrier does wear off.
Oasis is worth the visit just for the color.

Isn't there some sort of quest that tells you to go there? The best companion in the game is there as well.

I thought fawkes was the best? Even though he's annoying as hell
You get Charon from underworld.
Getting charon is the quest i think.
Also where the hell do you get fawkes? I have him but where i got him ill never remember
