'Cause they make it pretty hard to get stone. First you're digging, and then BAMPF, an aquifer, blockading you from all the stone below it.

Give someone the Brewer labor

V, move over the person, P, then L if I remember correctly

you aren't supposed to embark in a location with aquifers, unless you want the challenge.

Is there any mod that adds more playable races? It would be pretty awesome to play as a troll in adventure mode or something along those  lines.

you can play goblin camp which is basically dwarf fortress as goblins.
