Just go to the general goods store in Whiterun and sometimes you can get ebony ingots. I got a few from there. Make one and upgrade it. Simple

You need an ebony perk and a smithing level of 80.

Even at low levels, Belethor in Whiterun will sometimes sell Ebony Ingots. Although they become much more common as you level up, I find them all the times in shops selling any ingots. Daedric hearts are harder to get. You can buy them for around 800 from this guy in the College of Winterhold when he's in his room, that's how I did it for all buy one heart I needed.

Forsworn and necromancer sometimes carry hearts

Ebony ore can also be found at the very very top of the Throat of the World, and the Notched Pickaxe is there too :p
I believe that in the companions' place, if you go to a certain room there is a Daedric heart just sitting on his desk.. you'll have to steal it though.
You can also get some from doing the "Azura's Star" quest.
There's also some other places you can find them and buy them, or you can kill Daedras.

I also saw once in the main quest that they used the wrong form of "there".
