I own every default player home (and the hearthfire home that's near morthy), and naturally I stuff all my useless crap, that I don't want to sell for some reason, in the whiterun one
Holy stuff I do the same exact thing.

edit;
Also the reason I'm so poor is because I probably have >150,000 septims worth of stuff hid in chests throughout my houses, I'm a hoarder guys :(

mostly the useless crap is unique weapons that do basically no damage compared to my usual weapons, and I always feel bad selling unique stuff, whether it's in fallout or tes or whatever

same, it's always the stuff you can't get again, I can't get rid of it

i kept the red ryder bb gun for all of my fallout saves, even though i never even equipped it. :(

That's what I mean, I kept the Whiterun sword thingy the ENTIRE time I played the game in a chest, never once killed an enemy with it

i hate putting things in chests. i'll shove all my gems physically into a display case, or lay my weapons out in front of a fire or something. i like it better when you can see everything. the only exception is make is usually with stack-able commons.

why would you keep gems?

the game gets super boring and theres nothing to buy.

I'd love to do that too but the Heartfire house is incredibly buggy. My spouse is already walking backwards everywhere and the bandits spawn inside the house model. It's a gamble each time I go to the manor:

The system may instantly crash upon attempting to approach the area around the manor.
Oh and stuff:

Mannequins may also "move" around the house.
You also can't remove any items you put on the mannequins and the weapons racks make weapons disappear.

Where on UESP is that? That's vanilla, then? It isn't some mod trying to make Hearthfire cool, and instead causing utter forget?

Right there on the Lakeview Manor and houses page:

Does any one else play Vanilla or are you guys all modified?

Night Fox plays vanilla, since he's on the Xbox. Dunno about anyone else.
