Wanna upgrade my system with this, keep my 750watt corsair and 5870 for now. Im sure I could keep the h70 but a 240mm rad is so much nicer than a  120mm

Oh man, I so saw this coming from Ethan.

Youre a mind-reader!

So if I get my straight A's I can get a laptop/hard drive that's 800-900$. This will help, c:

I need help with cooling my laptop.
It always, according to Speccy, reaches a temperature of about 58-72 Celsius and I need help cooling it down because its been like this for the past 2 days no matter where I put it.

Spend less on the case and chuck some money at a better motherboard. At least a high quality Z68.

Get a cooling pad. There's a huge range on sale on Newegg. They just slot right under your laptop.

Of course alternatively you could open it up and clean out the dust but that's entirely if you want to or not.

Quick question about programs ON a computer.

Let's say you make a torrent with all of the files for a program you installed onto your computer. Like for example Paint.NET. It comes with an installer and all of that stuff. If you directly transferred the whole Paint.NET directory from computer to computer using a torrenting program, would the program work?

edit: Before someone decides to be stupid, torrents are used IN piracy, but not all torrents are pirate's work.

It really does depend on the application. Also note that although the application itself may be transfered, the settings are often not and have to be transmitted separately.

Alright, I got 2 questions.
1. What is overclocking and what does it do?
2. Can you forget up your pc if you try to overclock stuff wrong?

1. Basically you make your CPU/GPU/RAM/whatever run faster than it is supposed to. This (obviously) makes it go faster, but also generates more heat.
2. Yes. If the heat is too extreme parts can be permanently damaged, although some motherboards have built-in features that automatically shuts down the computer when the heat reaches a set treshold.

So if I transfer all of the files, will the application show up in Add or Remove programs?

No. The installers/uninstallers register themselves in the registry to be listed/unlisted there. Since you are effectively bypassing the installer it won't show up in there.

At 1920x1080 the 1gb card should be fine.

But the program might function correctly?
