Can I ask about a problem I'm having with my graphics card options here?

read the very first sentence in the OP

(yes you can)

What difference would I actually see between the 2300 and 2500K? 2.8 to 3.3 GHz for just $25 more sounds like a good idea to me.

The 2500K also has "official" overclocking tools.

you will be able to feel the difference. for $25 extra it's a no-brainer. plus as mentioned above me you can very easily overclock it (but be careful, google a guide for stability/stress testing)

So, since I chose a Z68 board, would this (for booting and certain programs; I'm not sure exactly how that works) in addition to the 1TB HDD (I'm thinking Righteous One may have thought I was considering either this OR the 1TB) be worth it?

i don't know
ethan already said it was well worth it
but aaahhhh

Booting and certain programs is for all boards. Read a review on SRT Technology to get your head around it.
Long story short, with Z68 chipsets you can enable it, and the SSD acts as a caching system to your main drive, pretty much effectively speeding up the entire 1TB HDD to speeds of a SSD without actually having to buy a SSD that big.

Could someone answer my question?
IDK. It will speed up your system, just make sure you are comfortable with the switch I guess.

Yep. Read OP.

what are the advantages of USB3.0 and would it be beneficial to phase out USB2.0 and switch to 3.0?

Pretty much speed.
Lots of it.
Yes, but boards with the compatibility are a tad more expensive now.

okay.

So that's why a lot of devices are beginning to use 3.0?

okay.

Pretty much.
USB is all about data transfer. So the faster it does that, the better.
Especially for external drives or flash drives.

Ethan you make computers sound so much less complicated then I think they are.

wasn't the first computer just a HUGE array of vacuum tubes?

Something like that, I know it took up a whole room and required the power of a small city.

okay. so I  change my AA options around sometimes when I'm playing BL and shtuff, but as of late i haven't been able to because the way i usually start it is to right click desktop and go to AMD VISION Control center. but when i do that, it  makes the circle loading thing for about a minute, then it just goes away. halp?

The one I posted is considerably faster, and the money is better distributed, as well as the lovey color scheme.

Not trying to question your computer knowledge in a mean way but, why is your configuration faster than when when the CPU has the same power and my GPU is better. I don't understand.
