Need a computer that can run dead space 2 with full graphics smoothly.
Budget?
Want to build it yourself?

Don't be. I got this computer for free, of course it's going to suck. But, it does what I want it to do well enough.

...or not.

Is it just me or does Minecraft do this to everyone?
-128c? lolllll what

can my computer run skyrim?

specs:
CPU: Intel Pentium 4 2.0 GHz
2 GB of RAM
NVIDIA GeForce 8400 GS 512 MB

it can run oblivion just fine
just want to know about skyrim just in case

No, sorry.

My video card is at 75c when i only have google chrome open what the hell do i do lol
it skyrockets to 100+ when blockland is open so im afraid to open it again

its now sticking around 67c which i still think is a bit outrageous, or is it normal?
That's high man.
Reseat the cooler. Depending on how old it is, this can be easy or hard. Unscrew the fans and heatsinks and put more thermal grease on and screw them back on. I'm sure there is a tutorial somewhere.

it is a 500W supply.
Good quality? 500w bad quality won't do. Does it have a model number or anything?

My comp says my processor is an AMD Athlon II X2 255.

Does this mean a mobo upgrade is imminent? If so, please provide a bucket for all my babie tears because I'm pretty sure those things are pretty damned expensive and computer surgery to put those things in is a delicate operation

(but hey, if I upgrade I might as well get a board with an extra PCIe x16 slot and some more RAM slots for room for future upgrades)
Some Athlon IIs can be AM2 socket. Download CPUID CPU-Z and look around for the socket.

Does it happen if you disable the wifi altogether?
No.
Sorry for late reply.

If I port forward on my other wired PC and set a static IP, do I have to do that on my PC which is wireless?

The Athlon II X2 255 is indeed AM3.

It's my handicapped VIA chipset reporting invalid data, doesn't happen on any other computer I own.

Ethan. What should I do? Get an h80 cooler or a regular heatsink and fan? I wanted the H80 but then people told me that I should only get the liquid cooling if I knew what I was doing and that it could possibly destroy my entire system if not careful. I looked at all the heatsinks and fans but they all look really big. What do?!?!

No, but I suggest you do.

K.

No.

IDK. That's odd. If you've uninstalled and reinstalled the drivers, it might be the wifi adapter is bad.

I believe I've already answered this somewhere, but anyhow

Get the H80. Better temps, and it's a preconfigured water loop. Can't really forget it up. It's easier to install IMO than a big heatsink, and less weight on the motherboard.
The people are just talking about custom water loops where you have to pump water and stuff yourself. Harder to set up.

Does water cooling actually use water?
I would be too nervous to water cool my computer. Paranoid about condensation and what-not.

Yeah. Lol.
It's all closed though. It's just like, a bit of metal that touches whatever you want watercooled (CPU for example) then water is inside a closed loop and is cycling and therefore cools it. Water doesn't get out of the loop, unless you make one yourself and forget it up.

Yeah. Lol.

Reason I asked is because I figured it woud use some kind of non-conductive liquid of some sorts. :o

Lol, just found this thread today.

I'll come back with some questions tomorrow. :D

nope.

nope.
Post a picture of the sticker on it?
I'm not sure what to do if we can't figure this out. We could always just update it, but it might be a waste and whatever you spend on a new one could be spent on a better GPU.

For anyone looking for laptops, this site has amazing prices.
