Lol for 1300 I can get a equivalent gaming computer lol.
What are you trying to say here

@suburb get a workstation card and not a 690

The Phenom II series had a hexcore line, the 1xxxT line of processors from what I can see
Well, they did. But I can't find them anywhere, so they probably aren't made anymore.

AMD processors are bad.

AMD processors are bad.
Opinions. I generally prefer AMD just as long as its not that crappy FX series. Phenom II's are excellent.

1080p laptop :o
THERES SO MUCH ROOM FOR ACTIVITIES ON MY SCREEN

I'm looking to build a computer, and I would appreciate if the nice guys here could help me out with parts. To start off, the case. I don't really need anything fancy, just something that is sturdy, looks decent, and has room for wires. I don't really care about the brand. For a CPU, intel is preferred over amd, and I would like a quad core. My current CPU is an intel i7 2700k, so a step up from that would be preferred. Next, my gpu. In my current build, I have an ati 6450. But preferably in this build I would like a gtx 670 or higher. I do not really care about overclocking. For my memory, I currently have 16gb ddr3 1333. I don't need 16gb, but I would prefer ddr3 1600. For a hard drive, I would like a fast, at least 1 tb piece. The rest of the parts are easily comprimisable, and I already have a moniter, mouse, and keyboard. I would also like at least 4 USB slots, 2 2.0, 2 3.0. That is all, thank you

Was just thinking about this, are there laptops that you can upgrade like a desktop? Is there such a thing? It would be pretty convenient.

Usually you can replace the RAM and HDD in laptops, but everything else tends to be very difficult to replace/upgrade. I don't know of any laptops that are designed to be easy to upgrade.

Why would you bother upgrading the cpu? Also there would be little to no difference if you got ddr3 1600

Yeah I was talking about stuff like graphics cards or processors. Oh well.

What GPU are you guys using which runs Blockland perfectly with a steady 60fps with over 50K bricks?

I need a new GPU since NVidia GT430 is pretty stuff for Blockland.

You can only go up from there. How much are you looking to spend?

would the 380 watt power supply work for this system?
