ARC I need you to clarify something for me

1) Does only 1 nation need trade ships to trade with another nation by sea?
2) Does the port have to be in the same town as the marketplace for it to work for sea trade?
1) Yes
2) No, but the goods must be traded to the town with the market place.

Aurinao Fluff!

History: Aurians are a race of Humans with pointed ears. However, they are not elves because they lack an elven skeletal structure. Aurians are obsessed with two things: Fire and Machines. 100 years ago, the Aurians had a powerful civilization on a large, secluded Island in the middle of the ocean. They lacked foreign contact because no one knew they were there. They developed machines that could do all sorts of things. Rumors say that beneath their island was a vast network of gears and cogs which were powered by a mysterious energy source deep within the earth. This Orange, Glowing crystal of energy was called the Crystal Furnace. It emitted energy in the form of light, heat and magic. This massive Crystal was the base of Aurian Pyromancy Magic. One small fragment of the Crystal Furnace would magic powers to and individual who possessed it. Their army, the First Phoenix Militia, was skilled in the use of Pyromancy. All Members of Aurian Society were educated in Mechanics, Horology and Metalworking.

The Great Silencing: The Crystal Forge was not the only one of it's kind. 7 Other crystals were said to exist on the Island, and each had its own unique powers. One Aurian decided to explore the Island, and find all the Crystals. This Aurian would become to be known as the Spectral Witch. She harnessed all 8 crystal energies. However the Human body was not built to hold that much Magic. That much magic causes insanity or even death. The Spectral Witch went insane, and destroyed all of Old Aurinao and stopping the clockwork beneath it. The entire city went silent. Any machine that relied on the Clockwork to work, failed instantly. All surviving Aurians gathered in secret and fled from the island. The Spectral Witch didn't follow. The moment they left the shores of the island she casted a Magic Shield around it, disabling anyone from returning to the Island. Now, the Aurians have come to a new world to start up their civilization once more.
