Why would they do it via codes anyway? I don't really understand the point in there being multiple ways of getting event pokemon anyway (mystery guest via internet seems best choice), but it seems even more silly to make you go to a shop, and then have the shop be capable of running out.

I've only recieved an event pokemon once from a shop, but it was just them connecting their 3DS to my 3DS. Presumably that system can't be limited in any way? Or shouldn't be.

it's marketing, there's a chance people will buy something while they're there to pick up the code

as for why it's codes, it's much easier to just hand someone a card with a code on it than have people lining up to connect to the store's console

I understand the benefit of having them come into the shop. But if it is a code, and a code they can run out of, I am much much less likely to even consider buying a game while I'm there if they don't even have any codes.

I'm just having a whinge though. I'm more annoyed at the fact that I don't have a Game near me at the moment where I can get a Darkrai.

Official news for Sun & Moon will be revealed this Tuesday, May 10th, at 21:00 JST / 13:00 BST / 12:00 UTC / 08:00 EDT / 05:00 PDT, a day before CoroCoro typically leaks

Also a reminder that the North American distribution of Zygarde is already set to end this Sunday, May 8th, and will be followed shortly by shiny Xerneas

If you were signed up for the Pokémon Trainer Club newsletter, you should also find codes for all 3 legendary birds with their hidden abilities in your email inbox

>ruseowl is real
>but it's also not real

[muffled anger in the distance]

those new starters look great

they look awful asdfasf

their evos better make up for this.

Picking Sun
Choosing master race starter again (grass)

Got darkrai yesterday as well

They're perhaps my least favourite starters so far.
I like that we're getting a flying grass type starter though. Although a little disappointed the other two are plain water/fire for their first form.
I'm going to guess though that Litten will become a Fire/Dark type. The design seems too obvious.

And I guess this one is set in the pokemon version of Hawaii?
What with the tropical look, palm trees, and volcanos. Plus, Alola is the name. Presumably just a name to sound like 'Aloha'

The moon legendary is the most disappointing. at least with the starters they have a chance of being better when they evolve

Oh god I just realized
>inb4waterbecomeswaterice
>inb4competitiveedgeoverrootho ot

it'll no doubt be able to learn icebeam :w
