Ninfia's English name is apparently "Sylveon"

Some people in the comments are saying it's going to be an entirely new type, light type. If that's true then holy stuff.

I doubt they'd introduce a new type. "Sylvan" means something with forests, too. Obviously it can't be a grass-type, but I'd be surprised if that's unrelated.

That is unrelated, its name is based on "Sylph," an air elemental, according to Bulbapedia. So it's a flying-type. Or it was made by Silph Co., one of the two.

Oops, that was talk page speculation. I need to stop talking. ;~;

I thought I saw some psychic type moves, but there's already Espeon.
God, why is Nintendo so mysterious?
Also would this sum up Fennekin requests in a nutshell?

That puts the "monster" in Pocket-monsters (japanse's name for pokemon)

(japanse's name for pokemon)

you don't say?

the thing here is that up until now we've had completely obvious names for eeveelutions, but I can't for the life of my figure out what the "sylv" prefix is for
