Let's just timeskip and say we got there.
I begin by pelting the barbarians with arrows.  The initial hail will consist of half of my archers.
Then my legionaries will go in with a phalanx and blow hard.
Finally, my small cavalry force will finish the job.
Sound like a plan?

Evac as quickly as possible.  Leave the infected.  We cannot afford more casualties.

A sickness appears to be growing in your camp, men are beginning to wretch, and a dozen have already perished.
Pageloss

I would say that is a good call

a 100,000 man army is an insane logistical challenge for the ancient era

A scholar in Nexia declares the empire's growth rate to be Population = 1500000/(1+54.55556e^(-.08t))
where t is the number of years

That's not whal logistical means

It means the ability to control, supply, and maintain

Infected are quarantined, and their posessions burned. They've been given food, water, and weapons, and can live no less than ten miles from Avalonian borders, citizens, or military installments, until a doctor can give them a clean bill of heath and prove hat they are not carriers of the disease.

Avalonia takes the plague to be a bad omen or something, and so any men to have contact with the infected trail ten miles behind the main rank of soldiers. The infected trail another ten miles behind those men. Needless to say, the invasion is canceled, and the men are returning to the Avalonia area.

Avalonia will have the whole invasion force quarantined outside of the borders in separate camps as defined above, communicating via smoke signals, until the sick die (despite the greatest efforts of Avalonia's doctors), or all heal as defined by a skilled physician.

Avalonia resolves to maintain more sanitary conditions nationwide. A medical college is being constructed so that in the event of a plague, or general widespread sickness, something can be done.

More troops are being trained so that in the event of an army-wide plague, Avalonia will have some means of sefense, however meager.

Any trade with Avalonia is suspended for one week due to the sickness, and citizens are advised to avoid contact with their neighbors for the time being.

Avalonia is on lockdown.

142 die from Rossiya Imperii.

You suck.
Is that it?
I used a RNG, 1-2 to decide if any die from the plague, 1-3 to pick which empire from the ones who were there and 10-250 to decide how many die.

A group of Nexians have established a missionary settlement in the lands directly south to Nexia.  It consists of:
150 missionaries
300 soldiers
550 assorted workers and farmers

Population of Nexia mainland reduced by 1000.  Scholars have adjusted the growth model accordingly.

Their mission is to convert the natives of the land to their religion and eventually incorporate these people eventually into their empire.

It is estimated that 700,000 natives inhabit these lands
So far 2000 have heard of the glory of Amnesh and about 40 have accepted it.  None have yet opted to join the empire.  The % of converters to non-converters rises as it becomes more prevalent throughout the land.

We wish to ally with Nexius.

To stop the infected, mitologia takes all the infected into a pit. The kings most loyal guards ( to avoid bringing the infection back to the city) jump in the pit and burn themselves along with the infected.

well forget the disease has barely spread
