I guess i failed to revive this rp....oh well...

What was the plan for doing wars?

Nothing was happening

Frontrox, you've started a world war, I call that a revival.

As the war rages on, a shroud of darkness comes in from the north, already blanketing most of the northern hemisphere in a black cloud raining ash from the sky.

One of the mountains in Hessia erputed in a massive explosion, decimating the barbarian regime there, and scattering the beastmen back into the wild.  Refugees from Nexia were able to flee south before lava flowed through its western valleys.  Nexians have primarily fled near the Health Colony, and have already decided to officially claim the land as New Nexia and set up a new capitol in its northern parts.  Clouds of black smoke ave been billowing from the mountain for three months now with no sign of slowing down, and the enormous amount of lava has actually melted away so much water as to cause disastrous flooding in the New Nexian farmlands.

Luckily, 40,000 Nexians are small enough a number to live safely off the land without farms, and a surprising amount of natives have already heard the word of Amnesh, and are friendly to the Nexians.

tl;dr Volcano destroys Hessia and some of Nexia, refugees claim ownership of southern country.  Missionaries in Health Colony proving to be more effective than anticipated.

Anything Avalonia can do to aid the people of New Nexia, as compensation for the hostilities existing prior to the plague, and to seal good relations between our two countries?

Anything Avalonia can do to aid the people of New Nexia, as compensation for the hostilities existing prior to the plague, and to seal good relations between our two countries?

It may soon end up the other way around.

Nexians are generally short on food, but there are not nearly enough Nexians to strain the resources of the land in any way to cause starvation.  Nexians had to live similarly back in Nexia, where more food came from hunting and foraging than farming.

Unfortunately, the massive cloud of ash is causing a perpetual nighttime, and temperatures for thousands of miles south are beginning to plumet, and raining ash (which seems very much like grey snow, especially with the cold) is mixing with water supplies and causing clean water to become scarce.  Nexians are surviving by melting buried ice from the permanent glaciers in their land, and even nexians that had migrated far south to avoid the volcano are now forced to migrate back north for icewater.  Many Nexians have died who drank the poisoned water or died of thirst while marching northwards, as the ash is worst in New Nexia.  The temperature there has dropped to sub freezing.

Nexian scholars anticipate that it is only a matter of time until more southernly nations begin to feel the devastating effects, and encourage empires to warn people about drinking from the grey rivers.

Avalonia  and Aemilius begin to create massive, sealed, underground resevoirs to prevent water contamination to the extent thzt it would caause too much harm. Underground shelters are being built that connect to the resevoir in order to protect the people. Everything's being stockpiledfrom cloth to water.

Avalonia and Aemilius continue to train troops despite volcanic activity. Training may have to continue underground :/

An earthquake to the north of Caprica results from the eruption.

First a plague, then an eruption, now an earthquake! If this RP lasts long enough for me to develop long range space travel, I'm getting off this death trap of a rock!

Nasoa, please view my post on p24.  Update - due to some of the minor tribes living in that area that inhabit caves, they have begun to draw water from underground in the caves where the water is pure.  The more major tribes who draw water from the new poisoned rivers are starting to die out.  It will be a while until the tribes in this area become able to create a larger, united civilization.

100,000 national guardsmen have been pulled from the reserve to keep the peace, and rescue survivors.

large lakes of standing water?  Thats how malaria and a million other fatal diseases get spread.

If you keep the lakes in darkness, however, that will prevent microbial life from growing too fast.

Or be keeping a large amount of water in a circulation process with distillation.  (may not be invented yet)
