I doubt you have ever produced a song in your life, so how could you understand how much effort is put into his work? "Barely" any, just because the music doesn't sound good to you? His songs have a similar sound because they are made by the same artist, go figure.

The definition of music is "The art or science of combining vocal or instrumental sounds (or both) to produce beauty of form, harmony, and expression of emotion." so you don't need to put quotation marks around the word while referring to Skrillex.

Yet again I say you have no idea how much effort is put into something you have never ventured into, hell I have never made a song either, that's why i'm not talking out of my ass saying I know the effort put into his music. Im just saying you dont.

Okay I'm about to flip a table right now.
Real music is not defined by genre or how it comes into creation. It's not about if a concert hall can do it, or if it is humanly possible to play at all. Music can be made with noise from a pile of plastic and silicon, a carefully assemble hunk of wood, or a complete piece of stuff. As long as it is enjoyed and consists of melody and harmony, it is music.
