>ACTION: RUN
>ROLL RESULT: 2

You and your companions are too frozen with surprise to do anything. Just before the mass reaches you, something blasts through the wall and grabs the mob's attention.

Standing in the newly made doorway is a dark red mech. Your internal sensors go nuts with alarms. You don't realize that Stojanow and Markus are running until one of them grabs your arm and drags you out.

"What the hell was that thing?" Stojanow asks breathlessly, even though he probably knows he won't get an answer. You can hear gunfire from inside the building, probably that mech... thing shooting at the mob.

"Well, whatever it was, it's obviously dangerous," you reply, still a bit dazed.

The group is silent for a moment before Navaro speaks up. "We should probably get a move on before that thing comes after us."

"If it can track us, that won't do us much good," Stojanow starts.

You interrupt him before he can go into length. "It's a start," you say and start walking. The rest of your group follows.

>THAT WOULD'VE BEEN ONE OF YOUR FRIENDS.
>
>What do you mean?
>
>YOUR SENSORS DIDN'T RECOGNIZE IT?
>OH, WELL
>IT'S NOT IMPORTANT NOW.
>IT'S PROBABLY AS SURPRISED AS YOU ARE.

You and your party don't stop walking until you've found a decently safe place to rest.

In front of you is a very thick forest. You think you can hear a stream somewhere in it. Far behind you is the above-ground research lab. To your left to you are the small mountains from the day before. The trees seem to clear out towards your right, probably leading to the desert.

Where to? Remember that you probably still have that mech after you.

Walk back to the "landmark" you set earlier

You start walking to the pond, and your party follows. After a long while of walking, it's about evening.

Once you reach the pond, you see something you didn't notice before. It seems like a door, similar to the on you came from in the desert.

Enter?

>Markus: Knock on the door and peek in.

Markus knocks on the door and gets no response. He carefully takes a peek inside. "It's pretty dark," he reports.

THEME OF UNDERGROUND COMPLEX

You walk up to the door, flashlight on and ready. It is pretty dark, but at least you'll be away from that mech. Navaro walks between you and Stojanow, who brings up the rear with his flashlight.

The floors are of cold stone. It looks as if someone's been here recently, but you can't detect anyone other than you and your group. Pointing your flashlight at the ground, you can see several wires and cables, all of varying thickness. You jump and turn around as the door slams shut. Navaro squints, shielding his eyes from the light you just shined in his face.

"Sorry," you mutter and turn back around. You stop suddenly as you bump into something large and metallic. It doesn't feel like a wall though, it's more like...

You shine your flashlight upwards and realize you ran into the mech again.

You're about to get your weapon out when you realize it's inactive. How odd. You examine the figure. It's basic cholor scheme seems to be dark red and green, the green parts are glowing. It is heavily armored, and you can see a rather large gun-like object in it's right hand. You think you can see a sword on it's back, you assume it's sort of a backup.

Even while it's deactivated, it's still pretty intimidating. Then the thought hits you:

Where's the pilot?

Markus and Stojanow seem to have realized it as well, for they've already drawn their weapons. The room lights up dimly and you hear footsteps. Off in the corner is a pair of glowing red eyes, slowly approaching you.

"What is that thing?" you hear Stojanow say as the being comes into view. It looks like another TAMS, but not one you'd recognize.

"Hello," it- rather, she- says in an eerie voice. It doesn't sound normal at all. "What brings you here?"

what do

"Could we have a word on who are you first?"

"It's not important who I am, it's important who you are," she replies. She draws some sort of sword- you aren't sure if it's a sword or gun, or both- and points it at you.

"BCS-A," you reply, obviously not wanting to get shot. "Those are VTS-V4 and MCS-N," you continue, pointing to Stojanow and Markus respectively.

"Oh, how lovely," she says, rolling her eyes. "You seem to have met my pet earlier." She points to the large red mech-thing next to her.

Pet, huh? What a lovely thing to call something like that. You're beginning to feel uncomfortable down here. What now?

hey i could use some commands

talk to her

also show her your pet and act cute and warm, if metal can be warm.

"Well, I also have a pet," you reply. You get Bot out and show it her. She suddenly looks very angry. Pulling Bot back, you see what he said:

>YOU BELONG IN A MENTAL INSTITUTE (:

You think it's high time to get out of here as she starts shooting. Markus is already almost at the door, and Stojanow follows you closely, almost shoving you out the door as a shot narrowly misses your head. Markus manages to slam the door shut, and the three of you start running.

QUICK WHERE TO

You and your party make a run for the research lab, completely disregarding the fact that those things might still be there. Oh well, you're sure you can take them out.

The trip is faster while you're running, and also more exhausting. It's almost night by the time you three arrive at the research lab, and thankfully those corpses are gone. The mech-girl must've taken care of them.

Despite the pressure you're under, you and Stojanow manage to find somewhere decent to sleep while Markus takes watch.

YOU ARE NOW CONTROLLING MARKUS
WHAT DO.

>Markus: look around if there's anything eye-grabbing anywhere near you

You look around to see if you can find anything interesting. There's just more of these papers everywhere, some with a little write, others with the page full.

The terminal in the main room is still active, you wonder if it might have something useful on it.

What should you do?
