So bricks don't glow anymore?

So bricks don't glow anymore?
yep.

I think OP should have a list of fixes that come with this lighting update so people stop asking silly questions.

It's funny because this is 100% true. If a build doesn't have lights, and you load it in a map like Destruct, it's very hard to find that build.

No interiors = Forced to make a good TDM build = better people = smarter community

Win win win

Will this update reduce lag in general? Or just enough so that shaders and such can be added to make up for it?

I know, it's been answered already, but I'm not about to go through 135 140 pages of posts to find the answer

yes yes exactly

Except not going to happen.

Adding shadows would be fine, but making sure that lights don't shine through bricks should be added, as well as making more lights visible at once.

Also, will lights make bricks cast shadows as well?

Yes to everything, read OP and look at the 3 FAQ.

I hope kompressor or badspot will fix the problem

Add-on issue.

Having darker lines will give more reasons to add per pixel lighting to replace our currently crappy vertex lighting in the next update. Dark lines on bricks and tile prints by default and better lighting will allow people to make better horror builds etc. These shadows are going to help a lot too. I can allready imagine myself making dark caves with it.

It is your choice to download these dark maps, because there are currently no maps that are in complete darkness (the darkest being bedroom dark and kitchen dark, which will be removed in the next update). Besides, we have a good selection of lights that we can use, including the many useful light add-ons.

wouldn't the darkest map be destruct? which if I'm correct is in literal complete darkness?

Pretty castle.

What map is that?
Will it be included in v21?

I'm talking about Destruct. I know there are a good selection of lights. I myself have Manty's textures installed because I don't like the look of the white lines, but I was simply agreeing with Badspot because it is very difficult to find your build without these white lines.

it is very difficult to find your build without these white lines.

That is a very crappy reason.

I have a bad feeling, i feel the update comes near by every minute. (I CAN'T WAIT FOR IT!! WOHOO SHADERS AND SHADOWS HERE I AM!)
