There is a little shadow problamo

notice how it goes through the bricks and shines on the slanted brick

-snip-

It could be that, as Kompressor said, or there could be that the indoor lights have been carefully placed so the light travels through the windows and onto the ramps.

Due to shaders, we can have real-time DOF?

What if kompressor has been taking normal screenshots the entire time
But due to the shaders, there is real-time DOF.

Doesn't that mean DOF wont be in the next version?
Because you would be in DOF screenshot mode all the time?

Its also in Garry's mod, You can turn it on/off

I personally think that having RPs on terrain maps (Viano, Paradise, ect) was one of my favorite parts of the game. Well, I just think you would have to work alot harder to have a lot less fun after this.

If only this could be togglable... I've always loved the mapping in this game...
Sounds like its going to look pretty nice though but with the Interiors gone its going to be even more so like Roblox...

Also are you modifying the engine to not be able to import Interiors? like if I put my old maps into the new Blockland would I be able to see them?

Support is entirely gone, it will be like opening a .wav with Paint.net.

it works! c: /sarcasm

People usally 'grow away' from the terrain and interior maps.

Just thought I'd say that.

Will the shadows, when finished, constantly be on? I'd hate to build something focused around shadows (a dark TDM, a cave, etc) only for people to have the ability to see perfectly fine by turning shadows off .. If that won't be the case, will there be a way to see if a client has turned their shadows on?

Shadows will be a toggleable client-sided feature.
