v0002 Bedroom, nostalgiaaaa.

Also this means maps will take a hell of a lot less space, which is always a good thing.

Speaking of space, even in RTB 1.045 one of the most popular maps was Celestial Dreams. It wasn't exactly Slate, but it was just a bunch of floating baseplates. IMO, that's like a lower-tier version of a flat map.
Celestial dreams was where I made an obstacle course server and lots joined ;_;

Bare space station/DM builds too. Those were the bomb.

Speaking of which, are there any space builds these days?

A week ago I wouldnt have believed it as possible
That was the  3000th post in Development. Feel special.

Adressing this to Kompressor,

Is this officially v21 or an update with the launcher?

All updates are updates with the launcher. -- kompressor

I think what he meant was "Will this update make us v21 or are we staying v20 and this will just be one of the r#### updates?"

Here's a try at the fanart

Hey the hammer shadow is on the wrong side.

And

Question:  Is it okay if I post two builds both under 20 bricks each to render?  (To be used in Destruct or other dark maps)

Edit:  Will texturing the slate maps still be possible?  Also being able to shrink the building plane down?  <—— yeano nvm

Question to kompressor:
If you build a completely enclosed area, will it become dark inside? Because the light everywhere used to depend entirely on the map.

You must be thinking about global illumination. These are just basic directional shadows. The inside will be dim, but not pitch-black.

You can see your shadow in first person if you're on an interior or terrain, but sometimes it'll cut off, will you be able to see this shadow on bricks as well as the flat ground in first person and will it no longer cut off at times?

Yes. -- kompressor

So, if we have already downloaded some interior maps, Will they be removed from our add-ons? And, if so. Will the slate edits be removed from our add-ons as well?

And on RTB and the forums, Will you take off the downloads? Or just make them.. unusable?

I will be clearing out the maps section on RTB but I haven't decided what I'll do about add-ons people have already downloaded. Maybe RTB will just rename them to something that won't execute. I haven't really thought about it.

At first I was against this but after thinking about it it is actually the best course of action. All slate maps use the slate.dif and they will no longer work with the game. This way people have to update their maps and resubmit them. Clever. I assume you will also clear the map names from the database so we won't have come up with new names for our maps? (Demian's Slate Edits 2 or similar)

So blockland is going to stay at v20?
Blockland will be updated through the launcher automatically.

Technically, we should be at v27.

Practically, we're at r1511.

Okay what does r[xxxx] does even mean?
