7:01 AM, Britanican Biological Research Base.
Incident: Direct attack on a government-sponsored research lab focused on V-008
Perpetrator: Unknown sniper, possibly of Irajinian origin, possibly of (New? Hard to tell, we know he/she is related to the old Scandinavia, but they're scattered among the countries.) Scandinavian. Possessing a military assault rifle of the Kalishnikov-47 variety, along with a attached Irajinian-made scope.
Result: Containment breach of V-008. Release of various subject infected with V-008, various scientists and soldiers killed, and some infected. Larceny of a laptop containing secret information and a sample of the virus.
Containment/Retaliation: Cordon of the surrounding area and thermonuclear detonation of the warhead located in the center of the base.
The incident was a direct attack on the government sponsored lab known as L-11, which housed various subjects which were being used in experimentation to find a strain of the virus that would create super soldiers that could only be neutralized by a shot to the head, and felt no pain, nor remorse. We were planning to use specialized collars that would inject the infected individuals with dopamine, in order to remove any source of possible pain and to control the soldiers.
However, with the virus in other people's hands, the devastation one could cause would be extreme. Imagine a global pandemic, stretching across the planet. We must stop whomever is possessing the virus, and make sure that it never gets out, for a terrorist could be able to cause civilization as we know it to collapse. The Britanican Parliament, the Britanican Prime Minister, and I recommend the creation of a task force to apprehend these terrorists and bring them to justice, before anything worse happens.
Casualty Report: 12 guards dead, 15 infected (dead,) 3 escaped but were killed accidentally. All guards accounted for.
17 scientists killed, 13 infected (dead,) 7 infected (escaped, looking for now,) 1 escaped but was killed, 2 escaped. All accounted for.
