Author Topic: Parkour and Freerunning -Cement isn't as hard with snow on it-  (Read 12691 times)

I said it was a prerequisite to other things such as the wall flip, which in most cases is rarely used in parkour, but if applied right, it can actually be useful. That and I practice PK freerunning and tricking so idk I was just tempted to add it

Ontopic: I don't do parkour, but I just wanna say for safety, backflips are damn dangerous to learn without a coach or something. I learned during cheer, but I've seen so many people get hurt pretty bad from trying to do a backflip without knowing how.
lol I taught myself, landed on my head/neck 3 times before I got it down, I'm surprised I didn't injure myself :p

Sounds fun. Too bad I live in...not the most opportune place.
Same here; I have to ride my bike 3-5 miles to some place where I can do it

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zQgFxDSqft4 <- OK so most of this is freerunning and gymnastics stuff, but Damien Walters is amazing. It pisses me off how he can throw into a raiz or sideswipe as if it's nothing

Parkour is very fun, I remember just practicing dive rolls by running and jumping off a ledge and rolling on the grass below it and easily traveled a few meters in a second.

philippines has tons of neat spots

I train downtown (not really a city, more like a bunch of 2-3 story buildings) and there are a few good spots.
We found this fire escape above this grassy area and we practice rolls off of it.
There is also a few decent lines and other stuff.
One time I figured out how to get on the roof of this place and my friends followed me, but the owner of the store got pissed at us and threatened to call the cops. I'm thinking of going back when they are closed because it is a pretty good spot, and it has a nice view.

Don't get caught lol

I got a nice burn scar from a dive roll fail on concrete who wants to see lol

hey guys
whats going on in this thread

parkour parkour parkour

I am actually thinking of doing a first-person parkour video, with Mirrors Edge trailer style cuts. But I keep putting it off because I'm American.
Might actually get started over spring break.

If poll ends up yes I will add a boss B-kick tutorial, I've been doing them since I was 12

yall would be throwing your bodies around in to pending doom in no time

Parkour = Freerunning

It's pretty much the same loving thing cept Parkour is about getting from point a to b.

Of course it's Fox News.

Also when it gets warm I'm going to film some HARDCORE PARKOUR with my fancy GoPro.

hardcore as in 13ft+ drops? If so, gj

when my team actually gets some things recorded I'll post a link to our youtube account

Parkour is great, though you can't do it without looking like a gigantic friend.

I somewhat agree with this, some people say "owoaw u do parkor ur so gey" and people who pass us doing parkour think we are like, robbers or something.
