I've never liked thief classes in mmos, I mostly played a hunter in wow, I also liked mages for a time.

Engineer just looks really cool because of the flamethrower and the alchemist gun or whatever.
Also since I plan to play charr I will get the charrzooka

You could, but players are also able to reserve their GW1 names for GW2.

So if someone had the name John Joe i could have the name John Joe, but if their account name was JohnJoe, my account name couldn't be JohnJoe?

I played the first GWs and enjoyed them quite a bit so I'll definitely be buying this. I'll probably be a Necromancer or a Mesmer since they are the seemingly laziest classes.
