I'm an atheist, and while it is very nitpicky, I think the constitution should be upheld on every area. However, there are more important issues to deal with than changing the pledge. This isn't a sign of random theonomy and religion-goverened state, as long as we don't ever elect Rick Santorum. We might as well keep it and avoid enraging millions of people.
I don't know what this is called, but there's also some sort of "symbolic" governmental theism reason, I can't find the wikipedia article so I don't think I know enough to voice anything on that.
You are like those people in Government that go against the constitution and have the Supreme Court look away.
