Who gave you guys the idea that we were at #6?

Who gave you guys the idea that we were at #6?

Someone missread badspots post and thought it was at #6 instead of #7

What was this about the Yogscast doing some gameplay of this?

This is either going to be good or bad.

That was also some one who misread posts in this topic I believe.

Had a little conversation with smerry. Would have messaged sadpear directly but I have to have at least five posts first. Would post my messages but they didn't save. I tried to be as polite as possible.

Basically, I messaged smerry asking her to ask sadpear to unlock it. This was her reply:

Re: Unlock appeal
I'll talk to Sadpear and other moderators about it, but it wasn't just Hammers who was the cause of the thread being closed. Their were 2 warnings from me on the thread about the arguments and people (not including Hammers) continued to argue on that thread rather than discussing the suggestion appropriately. It takes two sides to have an argument and if the majority of people have ignored his posts and not retorted the thread wouldn't be closed now.

In my opinion, Sadpear was correct in closing that thread, I would have done the same if I was online so for now this thread will not be reopened; but for the sake of fairness I'll talk to some other moderators and get their opinions as well.

I'll PM you if anything changes.

All the best,
smerry

I later messaged her saying that I didn't think locking the thread was necessary and that maybe some bans would have been more appropriate.

Re: Unlock appeal
Unfortunately, I can't just ban people for making one post that break the rules, there's a whole system of discipline measures that have to be taken.

And please note it wasn't one or two consistent users that were arguing on that thread, it seems that due to a disagreement started on or due to another forum the thread in question was going to cause arguments. New users had come specifically to post on that thread, there are other deleted posts that you cannot see.

I understand that this is frustrating for some people who were using that thread correctly, like the OP, but some of the most passionate supporters of the suggestion were, in the end, the users who ruined it for the rest of you. They deliberately ignored two of my warnings and insisted to continue making personal comments; we do not tolerate this at all and in the end Sadpear had to be firm but fair.

I've have various discussions with other moderators and they agree with Sadpear's and my decision

Wt the admin closed the yogcasts thread because the discussion kept changing

Is it just me or after the mod said to keep it on topic it was fine

Or did he delete comment?

Ask a mod to re-open it somebody, we need it to happen D:

Why are you guys so deadset on reopening the thread? Electrk has already shown that it's not going to happen, and honestly we don't need the loving yogscast. Other stufftier games that they played got pushed through greenlight almost instantly, on account of the giant fanbase. We made it to #7 without their help, why not the whole way? I would feel like we accomplished much more as a community if that were to happen. Blockland doesn't deserve the reputation as a game that only got through greenlight after the yogscast pushed it through.

The topic is going to remain closed but I talked with the administrator who locked it and he said he works at the office and helps filter out emails. He told me to send him my email so he can forward it to Turps so that the 2 keys can be shared to The Yogscast.
we still have a chance

wait so what are we at now? 7?

Yes.

As of Badspot's last update.

Does anybody know when will be the next wave of Greenlit games?
