You must like rap.

It's just opinion anyways. I just think people would get tired of hearing almost every song be about drugs. I know I would.

You are really ignorant.

Skill required to play certain forms of music doesn't make the music itself better. For example, this takes much more skill to play than something the beatles would play. However, you could say because the beatles are so much more popular they have more skill in arranging their music and producing something that liked by more people. It's all opinion and preference, so you can't say one type of music is better. This goes for lyrics too. While there might be a lot that are non-nonsensical or poorly constructed, it doesn't make them bad, just more unappealing to a broader audience of listeners.

What would you say are the top 3 things that rap songs are usually about?

Top 3 things every band writes about are:
-Relationships
-Material things
-Feelings

Not to stuff on your topic 21 pages into it, but the reason it's pop music is because it literally triggers dopamine to flood into your brain, something classical music doesn't do for most people anymore. No matter how much of a hipster you are, people will always like pop music because on a neuroscientifical level it is superior to your 'creative and intelligent' music.

Wow that was a stuff...

Blok, do you have something against drugs or something?  If you haven't noticed it is gaining more and more influence on everyone life as time goes on:  hence songs having more reference to drugs.  If it ignored the topic it would miss a huge audience.

What would you say are the top 3 things that prog rock songs are usually about?
1. High Fantasy
2. Space
3. Hobbits

Just got the Red Army Choir Definitive Collection sung by the Red Army Choir.

I'm madly in love with this music.

I don't have a problem with drugs. I have a problem with people that use them and know what they do to you and what they can cause you to do. That's why I don't have a problem with people who did drugs back in the 60s and 70s. Some of my friends' dads did drugs in the 70s and I don't have a problem with them.

Not drugs.

Besides, this isn't about drugs. Let's get back on topic.

You brought up the drug thing dumbass...

Why do you hate songs about drugs when you don't have a problem with them?

The topic is ignorant. You're trying to be an elitist by telling us why the music you like is the best and popular music today sucks. Except that popular music is popular for a reason. Read my above post.

Drugs aren't gaining "more" influence on people, drugs have always been a big deal, especially in the music scene. The reason they're being brought up more in music is because drugs are less taboo now than they were before.

Let me point out that the Beatles did drugs. That's where Lucy in the Sky came from.

And with that, I'll shut up again.
