You listed both the Rolling Stones and the Beatles, then went on to state that there are too many songs about drugs.

Um, sorry?
Contrary to popular belief, there aren't that many Beatles songs that are about drugs (if any).

I thought it said Classical music :c

But yeah, classic music is so much better than all the new mainstream pop crap, people like Coldplay and Owl city are the only modern music i like.

Granted, but regardless I can name a few, haha.
Can easily be said that LSD had its influences on their sound.

"if any"? are you kidding?

All music nowadays is basically crap. However, a lot of really good guys like Skrillex, Avicii, and Nicki Minaj have shown true talent. None of that dispatch stuff or foo fighters they just sing about stupid things that dont make sense. [/sarcasm]

But not all EDM is bad. Just a stuffton of it. I love Nu Disco though :3
i like 95% of EDM

even some skrillex here and then

but that's just me, i like, grew up with everything electronic and everything japanese playing SM

even some stuff that wouldn't be remotely considered music

Also this, that made me laugh.

With a song title "What's the New Mary Jane?" it's kind of hard to say they don't write about drugs.

stuffty music existed back then, it exists now, and will always exist.  If you keep cherry picking your results, of course you are going to get the results you want to hear.

Why are you so closed off to edm?  Just because it wasn't made with a primitive instrument doesn't mean that it isn't good music.
I don't like how it sounds and I like the way instruments such as the guitar sounds. I just don't like something that sounds computerized, including vocals.

"if any"? are you kidding?
There are very few made by the Beatles that have to do with drugs, but I can name 2 off the top of my head:  Doctor Robert and Got To Get You Into My Life.

As far as the Stones, I am not as interested in them as I am with the Beatles, but I am sure there are a couple.

The point is:  instead trying to find which songs are about drugs, with rap, you are trying to find songs not about drugs.

That's weird. And those are the only types of music you really like?

You must like rap.

It's just opinion anyways. I just think people would get tired of hearing almost every song be about drugs. I know I would.

proof that people don't care about lyrics

not defending rap or anything, just sayin'

Rap isn't about drugs. If you actually listened to more than what the majority does, you would see that /most/ rap songs aren't about drugs, hookers, love, or murder.
