Because people are richards and have nothing going for them, so they latch on to the fact that they got Blockland early as their only redeeming quality. If this gets to be a serious problem I'm going to start banning these servers from the master server. If you're not going to at least give everyone a chance, why advertise your server at all?
Learn the difference between noobs and newbies.
Sorry to be a late poster on this, but I was waiting for my ban to be lifted. I was rather, upset, that an administrator of a game server would even say something like this. Granted, I do agree on if you're going to ban everyone, why even advertise? But the thing is, we've paid for this game, and no where on the site, nor in the EULA agreed upon before installation of Blockland Retail v8, or previous versions, does it state you are not allowed to ban numerous peers.
I myself, as do many others, have a vase ban list. To use as a reference, Kaphix, since he's the topic of discussion, has shared his ban list with me. Unknowingly for certain if it was in full or not, but I'll admit, my banlist is, or is close to being the same length as his, and some, if not half are 1000+ IDs. Does this mean, by what Bapspot has said, my servers should be banned from the master server? Keeping in mind these are bans banning peers that are either are annoyances, build steelers, and/or spamming noobs.
Now question is, do you, Bapspot, actually have the right to ban someone server from being advertised on the master server, with the EULA not violated, and only on personal judgment to better the online gaming community? Therefore, removing them from the multi-player aspect of this game (unless peers connect via IP,) in which someone has paid $19.95 to play online? (Aside from unlimited block counts, and other unlocked features.)
If this were the case, I'd have to say, refund their $19.95 to the respected PayPal account, blacklist their Activation Key, and ban their IP address from the game (And if so much, ban their ISP IP block.) And shall I suggest adding, "Game Experience May Change During Online Play," into the game, or EULA agreement?
Also, is it just Kaphix doing this? So is, is it all worth it just to complain to each other about one persons server's banlist on banning IDs 1000+ for publicity? Just wondering, because on all the servers I've been on, I've seen people with IDs 1000+, never once have I been on one with just people 100-999... Makes me wonder why the big fuse over a single person, and Badspot, bad comment on a made up policy/term... Please humor me more.
Thanks.
