Author Topic: How to prove to yourself God exists  (Read 9620 times)

Why do you think there are no games about Jesus and god walking around in early jerusalem or any blockland servers with 'come pray for Jesus!' up?
because people will cry and complain about how it's offensive, not because there's a separation of video games and religious icons.  i mean hey you can pick and choose religious names/icon symbols in Civ5 and use religion in Civ4, and Dante's Inferno (the game) draws heavily from the actual story, which itself draws heavily from biblical material.

on another note, i find the entire concept of religious congregations to be silly and unnecessary.  the only good religious practice activities are the ones done privately, i feel that any form of public worship/praise (church, liturgies, etc.) is simply just looking for attention.  (see Matthew 6:1)

God works through seemingly random, unconnected events. If you let him nudge you in the right direction. You will be surprised how effective this can be.
hahaha i lost it at this part

this is exactly the problem with christians and almost all other theistic religions. they link random, unconnected events to spirituality and then try and use it as some sort of proof of their god
Ask your question or make your request sincerely, if you aren't serious, how can you expect him to be?

4) Keep an open mind for the next week or so.
and then these two parts. the good old, "oh so you didn't have any spiritual experience, you obviously didn't have an open mind or weren't sincere!!

this isn't an exercise to prove that god exists. it's an excercise to prove how creative the mind can be in attaching random and unconnected justifications to normal events

what the forget did you just loving say?  i'll have you know that the fact that my coffee didn't spill this morning when i knocked the cup over was a work of god.

i just noticed there's three topics have already started a stuffstorm or are well on their way to.

Down with bill robo and nomad!

OP basically follows the "if you don't sleep for 4 days you'll realize that giant chipmunks live outside of your house" kind of conversion to religion.

Question, if God doesn't exist, then what formed the matter that came to form the big bang?

yeas, I'm an idiot because I don't believe in the flying bearded man in the sky.

HOLY stuff, GOD IS SANTA. IT ALL MAKES SENSE NOW!

there's a theory that black holes are actually other universes, which explains the strong gravitation field, and supports the theory that matter can not be destroyed.
