Exactly. So stop claiming that your oh so holy SSL certificate means that we can trust you 100%.

This is just claims. There is nothing that can be done to 100% verify it, this is pretty much as close as we'll ever get, but, once again, claims are not a good way to decide on whether to trust a person.

If you are going to keep pressing this, at least look at the motives. What could Rub possibly gain out of posessing 20 Blockland keys if all the servers on the first node sold? Literally the worst case scenario is he goes onto each key individually in-game, does something very malicious to severs repeatedly, and gets them deactivated. Great. But Lub doesn't gain anything from this, all that happens is his customers each "lose $20" should they have to buy another key and his service is halted. On the other hand, he could continue providing a reliable service and making a profit (right?), however small it may be.

This is the same reason, although on a smaller scale, that online transaction companies don't use your credit card.

Both are compressed statically before being uploaded to the server (nothing on the fly). So server load is exactly the same, and they're exactly the same size on the server (actually, the gzip is about 120 bytes smaller, but that's not really significant), but I'm going to go out on a limb and claim that the gzip has a much better user experience.

I'm just saying that he should stop claiming that his SSL certificate means that it's 100% secure.

Would love to see where I claimed that 100% figure!

Hey kalph what does your service have that lubs doesn't?

a sprinkle of autism with every server

Bad question. Change "does" to "will".

Would love to see where I claimed that 100% figure!
You were talking about it as if it automatically made your service completely secure and trustworthy, although you never explicitly said 100%.

Kalphiter's service is run from a less insufferable starfish. I'd choose him over Lub any day.

so you based your whole argument on what it implied to you? woops!

Bad question. Change "does" to "will".
so what will it have that he doesn't then?

Considering that I'm complaining about how he's "advertising" the service in that regard, I'd say that it's fair to, since it's the same implications that the customers are purchasing it on.

is it more secure? yep
did he say it was 100%? nope you did

argument debunked

He didn't say it was "more secure", he said it was "secure".

It is secure, hence the name Secure Socket Layer. Where did I say it was 100% secure? I didn't. Stop trying to pursue such a stuffty argument and give up.
