RTB Dedicated Hosting Service - Service Closing

What exactly is the motivation behind trying to inflate your ego and the supposed reputation of a service after it shut down?
Yeah I wasn't trying to do that at all, just saying that hosting yourself from your home connection isn't going to match the service quality, nothing more! Get over yourself.

The last hosting service standing: CBMHost ( I use it lol)

well then. happy valentines day :(

...A refund... WAIT WHAT IF I DONATED?

Donations are gifts. You aren't getting it back

welp, killed off the main competitor so we're screwed

Then perhaps you'd like to recommend an alternative? You sorta demolished the competition.

Wow, that sucks.

I hope more alternative hosting services will appear soon.

Wouldn't know an alternative to the quality to be honest. We use http://www.servermania.com/ (specifically http://www.servermania.com/intel-xeon-e3-1270v3-dedicated-server.htm) who recently puschased a Level3 commit without increasing prices, which makes it crazy cheap. Their DDoS policy is a bit restrictive now though, they probably can't afford the Level3 overages.

well um
happy valentines day guys

With the Steam release, we were hoping for access to a larger client base to enable us to provide more reliable service with the additional income. Unfortunately it's been two months and we're still having to turn away all Steam users because there's no way for them to authenticate their dedicated servers without a key. This lack of interest and co-operation from Blockland makes it too hard to justify our continued efforts to provide an excellent service under these circumstances so we've opted to refocus our attention on some other indie game communities instead. To be frank, having to deal with a completely ambivalent development team when we're providing such a high quality professional level of service to a community is insulting and not something we're interested in continuing to do.

eek

Maybe we (ATF) will host again for some people, like we did a few years ago.

And YES we got a good conection:

Our host is Hetzner.de

60 Gbit/s Level3
60 Gbit/s Init7
40 Gbit/s Deutsche Telekom
30 Gbit/s Noris Network
20 Gbit/s KPN
20 Gbit/s Cogent
10 Gbit/s Global Crossing
10 Gbit/s N-IX
10 Gbit/s ECIX
10 Gbit/s DATA-IX
10 Gbit/s AMS-IX

Our Server:

Speedtest result of our server:

Only downside is the 100ms ping for US users because we host in germany.

Weren't all your servers forced to have the "ATFclan.eu" title?
