the more you use Windows 8, the more you'll like it.
why should i wait to like it .-.

Would anyone have any specific laptop recommendations? Something relatively cheap but useful for college. Not for me, so it doesn't need to be ultra powerful (gaming), but still having the possibility of doing lots of stuff. It probably wouldn't be used for anything too intensive like gaming... Maybe smaller games.

Lenovo usually has good laptops.

This question still stands, I can't use the one in the OP because it has discontinued parts.
Third time asking this, please.

whats the budget

Well I don't know a budget for this yet, which I understand makes it a bit odd. Jack suggested this via Steam: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834230987R It looks reasable, so perhaps around that. The person mainly started looking since their desktop had a problem, so they are talking via phone and asked me to link it tonight. AKA might have a price range by then.

why should i get over it when i can just not deal with it
Then you will be living in denial.  But really, it takes nothing to get used to.  Just install 8.1 preview and everything really weird is fixed.

Also I was looking at the 600 range GPU, it was discontinued and no longer for sale, might want to look at that.
