Also why is Windows 7 Ultimate so loving expensive, seriously selling a operating system for $369 is insane. Makes me really angry, since I don't want to try buying one off ebay and end up getting scammed with one of those counterfeit copies. Oh also I can't find Windows 7 Ultimate off the Microsoft store.

looking for some opinions:

would a 770 be a good upgrade from a 580? running an overclocked i7-2600k so CPU bottleneck should not be an issue.

I have 2 monitors, gaming monitor is 1080p 60hz, secondary is ~720p 60hz. all I want is steady 60fps in today's games on ultra but my 580 just doesn't do it anymore.
Yes, The GTX 770 is a great choice. I run a GTX 670 right now and run almost everything(BF3, ArmA II/III, stuff like that) in ultra with a good 60-70FPS, I could only imagine how much better the GTX 770 is. If you have the money go for it.

What the forget do you need Ultimate for? So you can tell people you have Ultimate?

home premium will do the job
or better yet, windows 8.1

I see 0 reason for someone to get a titan black over a 780 ti. same gaming performance (cuda cores) except 3gb more gddr5 and some increased computational performance which won't impact anything besides some heavy-duty calculating or somethin
There's your answer. The titan pretty much falls under the same category as workstation cards, except there's not add much driver support. I think it's a good choice for game developers, they get full scale compute without sacrificing gaming performance for only $1000. That's a pretty good deal if you think about it

Because I like having Ultimate editions & such plus I use stuff like BitLocker every once in a while.

just get windows 8 and dont worry about it

I am but I want to dual boot windows 7 and windows 8.

but that's an absolute waste of money in every way possible
windows 7 has literally no advantages over windows 8 and i'm pretty loving sure that there isn't a single program that runs on win 7 that doesn't run on win 8

also, the oem version of ultimate is $189, but seriously you're not going to use ANY feature exclusive on it and stuff like bitlocker doesn't require loving ultimate

Windows 7 is absolute trash and everyone who circlejerks around it pisses me off
Just because you don't have your loving startmenu doesn't mean its terrible, you can pay two dollars and get it back and the button is more responsive then windows 7 all together.
plus it boots in like 10 seconds, so

Except windows 8 doesn't have aero, plus I just want to be able to say I have windows 7. Also I want to collect operating systems so why not? I've only ever used xp or linux on my stuff dell since anything better then xp or linux lags like loving stuff. also I never said that windows 7 can run more programs then windows 8?

I don't want oem, since oem sucks. So can you find me a deal or not?

I don't have any problems with windows 8? I just want to dual boot them together.

Ohhhhoh also before you say i'm lying since I just said I've never used anything past xp on my computer since it lags like stuff. My parents laptop has windows vista on it and i've used bitlocker a couple of times on it.

why does oem suck?
Because the license key is apparently locked to hardware. So if I ever wanted to upgrade my motherboard or install it on to a different computer I wouldn't be able to. Also if I ever needed technical support I wouldn't be able to do it with oem editons.
