they also act as some sort of "filter" for the power coming off the wall but i wont say much on that as im not certain.
Depends on the quality of the UPS you buy. If you get an expensive one, your computer may be running completely off the battery which will be a lot "cleaner" power than an outlet.

Power thats in a battery comes from the wall in the first place so I don't see how it is "cleaner" but okay

EDIT: Ive been wondering for a while now but...

Does my laptop somehow have an i5 with hyper threading?
And if it only has 2 cores but they have hyperthreading isn't it an I3?

More edit:
Apperently I can OC it to 3.6Ghz but the bios options are greyed out. Help

working at some stuffty job pays off

CPU: i7-6700k at 4.5GHz (1.29v)

GPU: MSI GTX 1080 Gaming

RAM: Corsair DDR4 3000MHz

The power from the battery is steadier, whereas the outlet power fluctuates

it provides a steady flow of power, which is much better for your computer than power coming straight from the wall, which will vary

I didnt mean how steady, I meant how clean.

You'll probably not get much better for $800, I'd say go for it.
