Author Topic: Return To Blockland 2.0 (Talk)  (Read 19903 times)

There already is an action button. Just de-equip anything you're holding and use the left mouse button. There's no point in re-inventing the wheel...

What if blockland were to get a HUGE update, how would rtb follow?

For anyone concerned about having to make their mods compatible for use with the RTB Downloader: Don't be! No extra changes need to be made to a standard ZIP file (for v9) for it to work with the RTB Downloader.

Here is a picture of the updated GUI for the Ingame System:

And here are some screenshots of the web-based version:

Oh lawd, My eyes are popping out.

i still don't think ill be getting it.

Why? Because you prefer going onto the forums, hunting through pages of non-working add-ons trying to find a specific one, then downloading it and putting it into your Blockland folder?

Im sure most people would prefer looking through popular add-ons (defined by their rating) and then pressing the "Download" button (which then installs and runs it without you having to close Blockland), but maybe i'm just abnormal.

wasting more space for stuff i don't want.

And if i want a add on i can just search.

The thing that puts me off is that it is RTB Forums.

You don't need to interact with people on the forums to post add-ons, so do you just dislike the forum style? I think somebody's being a bit pedantic.

So many things I hate about the RTB forums, Users is one but easily avoided by not talking to them. Forums style doesn't really bother me.

Would you care to list what you don't like, or do you just not like it?

Perhaps you could add sections to Downloader (and the forums) for Saves, Music and Decals?

I like the idea about saves - but with decals and music we're still not sure how the v9 system will manage those. Since everything has to be in a zip, would the zip drop into the decals folder, would you need two zips for the faces and chest decals etc.

Same goes for music. But the save uploader/downloader would be a pretty nice feature to add.

Are you going to check the incoming zips for unwanted filetypes (i.e. executables)?
