Any guesses on the Ghillie hat's cost???
That depends... What have you done to it? what is the base hat made out of? (looked like tiger stripe boonie to me). Or do you mean how much would it cost to purchase one?
M4's are too generic and boring. Get an M1A1 Thompson.

Did you not read what I wrote?

Yes, you basically said the M4 is a better choice and said that weapons like the M14 and AKM/74 have more common magazines. However you should recommend some M4 Alternatives that use the STANAG if you going to recommend a STANAG type weapon.

Like the M16, L85, FAMAS, Sig 556, FN Scar L, ect.

It is just a typical boonie hat. The strands of the ghillie are made of burlap that I tore apart. The netting is Decorative Fish Netting made for cabin decor. Remember, I might have already had some of this. =P

Airsoft is way too expensive for me.

Ya, it can get pretty expensive.

Its hard to recommend other platforms, They don't make a descent Scar L thats an AEG or else I would own one, the FAMAS that I held is heavy as hell. L85 is a great gun I'd just recommend buying a Daniel defense rail system for it, M16 is the same platform as a the m4, SIG 556 are rare because they stopped producing them... I don't run a M4 myself, like I said I run a KAC PDW. If I do buy another gun, its going to be another KAC PDW either VFC or GHK.

In the long run it pays itself off, and is cheaper then paintball...

Not really, well, if you're talking like a paintball game or something, here in Phoenix it's 29.00, well, that's the cheapest one I've seen currently. And you know, my family is not willing to pay 245.00 for an average Airsoft gun.

Eh. I don't like guns anyway, and my mother and step-father both agree that they can be quite dangerous, even with only a jacket and sun glasses.

For a descent case of paint, costs around 60 bucks, that case lasts one game. For a bag of 2000 BB bastard bbs cost 12-15 bucks here, and lasts around 3 days because we have trigger control. My paintball gun came out to be $250 - both of them. Once your set in airsoft you only have to buy the ammo - $15 every once and a while. In total when I go to play I spend $20, 15 ammo, 5 entry fee. When I use to play paintball it was close to $125 - $120 2 cases of paint and 5 for entry fee.

Sun glasses? Honestly? We use military grade ballistic glasses, and Military grade combat vests (without real plates)

Damn, because everyone I saw had a plain old heavy jacket and a set of ballistic glasses. My friend's used to own some sick Bolt-Action rifles, they never gave any to me though.

Vinyl collecting suits me more.

Yes yes yes. Hk 416 is a very nice gun, especially the VFC make. Its 11.1 lipo ready if you buy VFC

I saw a beautiful bolt rifle in a surplus store yesterday, too bad it's  $399.99

Nothing you said is true, most g36s run version 3 gearbox (Which can be dropped into M4 Bodies as long as you get a wider pistol grip for the motor housing). you can always buy a m4 magwell adapter so it can run m4 mags.

M4's are not over used, the reason so many people run them is not because there cheap, its usually because it's a very reliable platform that takes standard 5.56 magazines. I bet anywhere you run in a big milsim game there will be tones of guys with stanag mags running guns based on the M4 platform just so they can swap mag with other people on the field. Just because it's affordable and shoots a high fps, doesn't mean it's good.

JG makes a few g36s but I would never recommend them, One shoots 380 out of the box, known for faulty trigger connections causing the gun to be unusable. ARES HK g36cv known for having the gimmicky blowback feature to fail and cause gearbox issues. If your going for a g36 style, run it in a m4  platform , such as the ICS G33.

Honestly its stupid when people say the m4 is a bad platform cause its "overused" my mags don't wiggle, shoots 380 fps,and i can and have used other people's mags when i've ran out at milsim games. The Hop up on an m4 is ridiculously easy, I don't get how you can say a g36 is better. all you do is pull back the charging hammer to have the dust cover drop, revealing the hop up chamber, turn the hup up gear clockwise or counter clockwise until it shoots straight. how hard is that?

I'm not trying to pull an "M4 is the master race!" but its more universal then any other gun, your more likely to run into a guy with more AK mags or M14 DMR mags then before you run into a guy with g36, G3, Sten, Box, p90, mp5 or UMP. Its not because there uncommon, its because there impractical with the magazine styles. Also g36 mags tend to cost a lot more money then a STANAG or Banana mag.
Wow what'd you have for breakfast this morning, bitchflakes?

Here in west Michigan players seem to prefer a G36 over an M4 judging by how many I've seen. I've seen situations and heard stories of M4 guns breaking during a match but never a G36. You're right about the mags being impractical - it's hard to fit them in pouches - but they have a higher capacity and they're stackable, and like you said there are mag well converters anyways

Also JG is getting better as the years pass, ARES is proprietary and don't know what they're doing internally, I never said that the M4 is a bad platform, and 390 is perfect for field, it's not high
