Secondly, considering we have characters with names like "Sergej Domi", "Fouto Insign", and "Etilletas", it would make a lot more sense to have a name fitting that word-salad naming convention 'future' names have.

Being secondary doesn't mean less important. It just means you're there in case the first one dies, and/or we need two officers manning weapons at once.
