Waituhsecond can only Rondo "level up" his chips?
I thought it meant that...
the main character's ones still level up, but Rondo's are like more specifically designed for that so his level ups are better?... not really sure
Or maybe that yours only "level up" at specific points of the game, meaning you'd have to use a little more strategy to defeat people
Here lemme elucidate this. Rondo only has four, right? We can have as many as we can find. But the difference is Rondo during encounters can change one of his blockbattler's affinities once a turn, and he'll be able to interchange and gain more attacks, so then the fights against him are different every time. Our blockbattler have about 8 total, and they are preset moves, along with preset affinities, but once per turn if necessary one may swap from 2 (or 4 iunno yet) in their reserve into battle. So it's more like you have to decide which ones you'd want to focus on, and in battle if things go south you could always swap one out or go back and train a different one. Of course Rondo won't be the only boss
guy though. Wink wonk.
I'll probably build the professor story thing as if it were an experiment to see which one would possibly be better. Although I can't think of a way to explain why there are random chips scattered across the world, other than making an evil organization whom stole most of the professor's stuff and sell gauntlets around the world for money err WORK IN PROGRESS!

since your fight GUI shouts Earthbound/MOTHER and the concept yells Pokemon, which final boss will the game have? something terrifying/gut-punching or just champion rondo?
speaking of, is there a plot other than "you fight things"
I haven't really pieced a plot together yet. I'm thinking that I could (possible spoilers if this ever goes through) that the organization's heads actually know of something linked to... something bad i haven't thought of what yet, and they're trying to stop it, they can't tell anyone because it'll create mass hysteria or whatever, yet there was an internal discrepancy and someone else said "hey, why should we steal these gauntlets for 'the man' when we can make money off it? let's just steal these gauntlets and run!" So basically it's you and Rondo / your friends VS the runaways from the organization VS the organization's heads VS the thing linked to the badness. Sounds cheesy, so I'm trying to cut away from the Pokemon formula although it seems like the most obvious route ;-;
For example I might cut the "living with family" thing, the whole "professor is putting YOU to a quest" and maybe the "organization thing" it could go onto its own thing. but anyways its kinda odd planning to create the final boss first, at least i think so.
