Couldn't you do what lego did with splitscreen? And make the two screens join then split when the players are far enough from each other?

Yeah something like that is the eventual goal, or just perhaps lock all players to one screen and have the stats and stuff show up dynamically on the individual players.

Putting each players stats in a corner could work as well.

Yea I was going to say putting them in the corner would probably work. Or all on the top in a line

I can't wait for the endless stream of richard people on this game.

It's already happened.

I can proudly say I made the first pixel wang in this game, this was quickly followed up by kompressor once custom sprites over network was implemented.

However, question.

Is the multiplayer a dedicated server or do we need services like Hamachi?

Same as Blockland hopefully, though I may honestly not bother with a server list/master server like blockland has and instead just use ip/steam friends.

Since the game is one that you generally don't want to play with randoms it would make sense, well unless I add some sort of competitive multiplayer mode.

It's already happened.

Are we going to be able to block/ignore player skins?

Could just use a default sprite

Could just use a default sprite
Sprites over network implies that you will see other players' custom sprites. A block/ignore feature would be needed to not see them, unless this feature works on a whitelist.

Yes make it so you can block users sprites and it would make them appear default. Maybe have like 10 default sprites so it has some variety
