This isn't really something that would be used for local co-op but.
It would be nice to take control of the camera when spectating/dead, it's basically free look but "fog of war" still applies.

I was actually thinking more of physical real world give away items, like flyers of some sort.

But that's a good idea for the future, I've actually talked a lot with kompressor about neat things we can do with fog of war and death but that'll be a ways away.

I've also thought about making left trigger and left bumper pitch your camera freely so you'd be able to adjust it during gameplay, but I'm unsure how useful people would find this.

Edit:

4 Player split screen works,

Going to have to tweak a few things like text size and guis to make this look a bit better though.

maybe make it so that when its in co-op mode the stats arent at the top left of the screen
it looks find for single player but it just looks odd got 4 separate screens

thats just my view of course

Good idea I should try cornering things, it only makes sense after all.

Edit: that moment when you realize none of your guis are grouped properly...

did you consider making it possible for characters to hack thickness like objects? (more than 1 voxel in thickness)

oh my god rotondo the fact you made trogdor i love you

It's currently possible to do via a depth mask but I don't think this will transfer over the network yet.

I'd have to experiment with how it looks, it could be cool to have a bit more variance in the players.

Also got four player split screen fully working, with border and guis moved.

Thoughts?

those corner could become potential screenblockers, I'm guessing there'll be an option to increase the transparency though.

maybe this

although i like the white line splitting everything up
much better to see

I agree with Camera's point, some form of option for changing the HUD opacity would be excellent, or perhaps a way to shrink/move it.

Also, correct me if I'm wrong, but is that "CHANGE CHAR" object over there where you go to change what avatar you're using?

Lastly, some form of suggestion: perhaps you could implement some form of randomization to the mobs that spawn akin to how Diablo handles the monsters that spawn.

The huds definitely going to need more work but for this weekend I think it does its job fine.

Yeah that's what that object does, I added it so people could change their character without going through menus.

I've been working on the flyer I'm going to print out tomorrow or friday, I'd like some ideas/feedback on it.

That's the general rough layout so far, obviously have a ways to go but the main thing I need right now for ideas is what to put for the "core features", three seems to be the magical number to choose.

I've never actually made a flyer of this sort before so any ideas are welcome.

Edit: Also in those squares will go screenshots of the game.

Maybe some other info that usually goes on a box? e.g. controller support, 1-whatever amount of players, etc. Maybe someone can come up with a witty description.

possible witty descriptions:
"what am i hitting"
"who are you"
"what did we just do"
"where am i"
"why are we here"

Same thing as above but with white text/icons at the bottom

This is kind of plain but I'm strapped for time.

I'm thinking of adding the tagline, "An adventure you'll never forget!", but I'm not sure where I'd put that.

You could put it right below the title. You could also put it across one of the top corners of the title.
