Thanks for all the ideas guys, they're all really good. I also really love the idea of having jumping being completely OP but making it an item like the roc's feather from links awakening. That way it can stay op as hell but not be abusable since you'd be down a secondary item.

Falling into the pit causing you to fall from the ceiling and splatting is also really hilarious, I'll definitely have to try that.

Also I just did a quick test with adding detail to the top walls of the room since they stand out the most,

It's subtle but it's a cool effect, and it's not too intense since the sprite rendering is much more optimized than the dungeon tiles.

You should add a secret room with a chicken that says I AM ERROR. and when you kill it you get links sword

it should either be a Pedestal or Chest

fire pits could bounce you a longer distance in exchange for hp
would be a neat generated room

he should just add tons of easter eggs in general
some from zelda, pokemon, etc

Add the Dwand from blockland and make it explode enemies when hit.

Now as a non BL related suggestion add an item that is a Pong bar that when you use it once it fires a pong that rebounds everywhere until it hits something.

Simply wondering is all, but do you have ideas for bosses you haven't necessarily started to make? You don't have to go in detail, a simple yes or no should be enough.

Also, any future plans to customize how the host wants the dungeon generated? (Set number of floors, difficulty, etc.)

The dwand would be hilarious, but I'd have to make it extremely hard to get to the point where it'd be a joke.

A pong bar would be funny, I already added a hockey puck style item you find on the ice level it could use the same code.

Yeah many more boss ideas, none that I'm ready to share yet though.

That will come later, at very least there'd be an option to set a seed.

I made it so when you're locked in a room you can break the doors, this is to prevent situations where you get locked out of a room through a teleport script.

This also makes it hilarious if your friend is trapped int he room fighting monsters and you're desperately trying to get to him.

Though it's probably going to have to take a lot more hits to destroy in future versions to balance out running.

That's amazing, but yeah it probably should take more hits, I think the game needs more ambient lighting, maybe make some areas of the dungeon have a different hue of color.

Oh here is a good one, add swimming, or flooded dungeon areas, maybe make it so you need to find some flippers somewhere to swim in the area, or like your idea of the jumping, you could jump over areas with water if there is small areas to jump onto.

Also I'm sure you have but incase you haven't, this one is kind of a standard for any video game : Lava, one way or another, maybe find a way to add a "The floor is lava" joke.

blockland hammer should be a thing
chip away pixels with never before seen speeds and screen shaking
relatively weak but hilariously annoying

Oh man I can imagine playing with my friends, maybe 2 are focused on the door while the others are so loving desperate to hold back the monsters praying the door to open.

What if theres a level with chasms
but there was a switch somewhere in the level to fill them in with something (water? lava?)
and there would be a hysterical sign next to the lever like "Don't touch if you don't want to die"
something fun

I kind of backed myself into a corner when it comes to lighting, I made my own system since originally this was a grid based roguelike way back when. Right now it can only do orange/red/yellow colors correctly. Any yellow blues or greens will make it look really weird because I can't write a decently fast color blending algorithm.

I need to fix it at one point, eventually I'm going to learn how to do proper shaders and add them in but that'll come after the kickstarter.

And yeah I love adding ways to alter movement in the game, it's a good time.

I'm not going to confirm this but if there ends up being nothing blockland like in the game as an easter egg I'll consider myself to have failed lol.

Yeah I'm definitely going to try and add a lot of variety when it comes to the environment, speaking of which...

I finally added decent looking pit falls to the game!

Right now the plan for them is to have them do a large chunk of damage as you fall into the abyss, then your character will fall from the ceiling and splat on his face, similar to what happens in zelda except more splat.

I have a bunch of cool effects and animations planned for it, I'll upload a gif when I get it working.

Edit: always make sure to test things, missing some walls there lol.

Do players have enough jump hight to jump over each other?

So in the case with these chasm rooms, the runes/symbols on the floor can be unavoidable?
