So this 'Welcome a friend' deal lets you register the game and you'll be given a code that you can give to someone else.

And with that code you can download the game for free.

You have until September 7th to register it, so I thought I could give a copy to somebody with a club Nintendo account since I haven't used my code yet.

I looked it up
1. you have until october 7th to use it and september 7th to get the code itself
2. you have to register a 3ds xl to use it (that probably shoots me down as a candiate :c) (as well as the fact that my 3DS SD card is already close to maxed, blame fire emblem)
3. This is from the nintendo uk site, don't know if the promotion is valid in the US (also shoots me down)

Can you confirm any of these?
I got so excited until I realized I cant even use it rofl

According to the "How To Claim" page, it can be used on a Nintendo 3DS or a Nintendo 3DS XL.

September 7th (23:59 CEST) is the deadline for registering as a "Donor".
October 7th (23:59 CEST) is the deadline for downloading as a "Recipient".

The Terms and Conditions say that only the following countries have this promotion.
United Kingdom, Ireland, Germany, Austria, France, Spain, Italy, Belgium, the Netherlands, Portugal, Switzerland, South Africa, or Russia.

No other countries can seemingly do this.
And it seems that any one with a 3DS in those countries can recieve a code from anyone in any of those countries.
The codes are through e-mail, so you don't have to meet in person.

I don't know anyone who has a 3DS nearby, but I will register anyway.
Trying to see if anyone on my Facebook is interested, but that doesn't seem likely.
I would be willing to give it away to anyone who wants the game who can recieve it.
