I stayed up to wait for 11:59 PM EDT only for them to apologize for them not hitting their Canada day end mark. So I went to sleep. :(

DE really should give use a better time estimate for their updates
or atleast make them not midnight updates.

I don't think they ever intend to release at midnight, but there will always be unexpected bugs that pop up. I do wish they'd do their final testing a day early though.

Heavy server loads. Bugs. But still awesome.

Got all Hydroid bp's today, and are being built. My clan is also researching all the new weps. :D

Kestrel acts pretty weird after this update.
The charge attack (throwing it) is still there, but it only works when I have my Primary or secondary out.
when I have my Kestrel out I can't perform the charge attack.
also I hope they add a charge speed increase mod again but for thrown weps only cause kestrel charges SOOOOOO SLOOOOW.

also Channeling efficiency decreases the 5 energy cost for hitting enemies with channeled weps
I have about +90% channeling efficiency and it only costs 1 energy to use channeled attacks.

PVP will now look like a Star wars duel with the new melee combat lol

You can still throw the Kestrel when you have it selected, but it's somewhat cumbersome to do at the moment. Currently, you have to do at least one normal slash before it will let you charge it.
The cumbersome bit is that you can't just hold the E key down, you have to quickly tap and release the key, and then hold it down. If you get the timing wrong, you'll probably just do another standard melee slash. It's not terrible once you get the hang of it.
Fortunately the lead animations dev said they plan to change this so that you can throw glaive weapons without doing a normal slash first. He didn't give any ETA on that, though. :(

Also, they increase the charge speed of glaive-like weapons in hotfix 12.0.3. The new speed seems about right, and it even seems to be effected by attack rate mods, which is pretty awesome.

Oh, and glaive weapons will actually create an explosion on their final bounce now(EDIT: Actually this might only happen with Power Throw or possibly Quick Return equipped. Must test...), and if you hit the energy channel key while the weapon is in-flight, it will explode early.

Yeah after posting that I noticed the hotfix and throwing wep speed seems a lot better now
also I put on Maxed out Streamline+Fleeting Expertise+Flow
I have 90% energy efficiency and 450 max energy now.
That means at max energy I can cast Molecular Prime 45 times.
Everything will burn.

god damn it I just read that theres apparently a 75% power efficiency cap
why DE :(
