Author Topic: Working Elevators!  (Read 96928 times)

i have read the whole topic from page 1-29 and i was amazed at how much you did, i would like to ask something not alot even mentioned

1-will it be paintable like the doors?
2-can you put bricks on top of elevator?

anyhow, awsome work, il be passing by to see if this gets any better and i hope you do more beta testing so i can check it out.

1. Yes, of course
2. No.
[Sarcastic]are you trader?[/Sarcastic]

No need for the sarcasm tags, however as a tester I will answer the questions:
1. You can paint the elevators any color from your paint can at the moment.
2. No, you cannot build bricks on the elevator, bricks cannot even get into the elevators path or it will stop.

How do you call the elevator to a floor? trigger or a button?

Actually no, Shocklink. It is a system involving doors that Trader can better explain.

if you were to throw a grenade into the elevator, would the elevator carry it up?

No, but if you blow up the brick on which the Elevator is placed, the Elevator is blown up too.

Dumbells and Green Link are correct, btw.

5 months waiting so far :D

Yeah, I'll probably have some sort of mega release partay with a new Doors version, a new Portals version, and Elevators all at the same time.  It might be after v9.

I've worked a bit this week to make my Add-Ons v9-compatible.  The process is more complicated than I thought.  Simple Add-Ons like weapons or vehicles might not take too much work, but complex Add-Ons like Doors, Portals, and Elevators will take a decent amount of work to port.

how do you know if the mods will work for v9 <,<

Well, I only have a small set of guidelines to follow.  I don't have v9 or anything.  I'll probably just try to get Kaje to help me test it since he's a v9 tester.
