I was behind this freakin stupid trailblazer this morning and its brake lights didn't work. like at all. I don't mean just the long light at the top wasn't working, or that the tail lights were just out, or any of that. the tail lights were on, they just didn't get brighter when he started braking, and the top one didn't turn on at all

Law here has more things important to them. Mainly talking about security improvements while scratching their balls in the senate and never doing anything.

There are liability contracts that absolve bus drivers from liability of their passengers, generally onto the bus company. Otherwise, being a bus driver would be a terrible idea because if somebody T-boned you and hurt all your passengers you'd be totally bankrupt when they all sued you. I think what Pie Crust is saying is that if you quit your job, the bus company can't do anything because they're liable for the bus and the passengers and you aren't. And legally, you're in the green because you absolved liability to the bus company. In reality though, you'd probably lose a court case.

I was behind a Kia a couple months ago and the brake lights were stuck on.  His lights were not on or anything and I they weren't flickering like riding the brakes.  I couldn't tell when he was stopping....and he was driving about 10 under the speed limit.
