Stocking, you may like this story;
I once "had" a big'o banana spider (the golden orb-weaver one) whenever I was like 5-7 and it made a web on a horse trailer in our field (it was empty at the time). I called it "Mr. Banana" and me and my grandpa would go out there and check on it every now and then. Skip a couple weeks and we noticed that there was a medium-sized egg-sac, so I called it "Mrs. Banana". A couple weeks later, it started to get cold and Mrs. Banana was gone, and so was the egg-sac. We noticed one little baby banana spider on the inside on a new web, and after that day we didn't see anymore banana spiders there.
Then, skip to about four years, we found a banana spider on a semi-trailer that we had put in our field. It was on the part where the trailer connects to the back of the semi. I went out there to check it, but not as much as the original banana spider. Skip to a year later, (or this year), we found ANOTHER banana spider that had made it's web on the corner of our porch, so I decided to name it "Banana Jr.", a massive storm suddenly went through but when it was done with, Banana Jr. was still there and her web (i knew it was a her because of her size) too. After the storm, a couple days later Banana Jr. moved her web onto the railing of the porch because a lamp we have out there attracts half the bug population on earth. Then, one day, Banana Jr. moved her web right by our door, so to avoid her putting her web right by our door, we ended up having to disturb her peace and placed her on a tree in our backyard. After that, we never saw her again.
