besides the obvious (make it infinite, make it so the player chooses when to start, randomize it), the camera is also kinda disorienting
i like the physics tho
feels nice
yeah im working on that
thanks

codeacademy is a good place

This. The only thing I don't like about it is that it gives pretty much no explanation about what you're doing wrong, and you end up having to check the forums.

yea, but i usually quit halfway through to go work on small projects based off of what i learned

the best way to learn is by doing it yourself, they say

Should I try to make AI with pathing in a game on my graphing calculator or should I just leave it as a maze game

*had no idea this could be done on a graphing calculator*

Sure, I don't see why not, seems like it'd be awesome.

i'm trying to make a cool/chill/relaxing psuedo-game, unrelated to the flappy jam

hardly finished at all though, i can't show a .gif because licecap is being handicapped, so i'll just upload a demo of the game here

k
Basically I have a system for inputs being used as arrow keys, so you can view a 3x3 area and you use 8, 6, 2, and 4 to move. This means, though, that any other thing that will move can only move when you move. I'm thinking I'll just make some kind of dopey thing that compares its own location and the player's and just goes whichever direction will be fastest to get toward the player. I'll have to do some insane collision detection stuff though.

what's wrong with that

i don't think he was saying there was anything wrong with that

when you say "oh tell to the no" it means you're extremely against something

or he could be expressing excitement

like when your friend tells you something really good and you go "no way!"
